The Mississauga club was host to its first Racketlon Canada event on the weekend of November 3-5, 2016. 65 participants from Ontario, Québec and the USA gathered in this beautiful indoor club to compete for the title of “Master of the Racket”. On the women’s side, Mary Hall wins her second title in row after Ottawa, battling with Kathy Rintoul in the final (picture below). On the men’s side, Patrick Laplante makes a return in the winners’ circle by defeating arch rival Jeremy Easterbrook in the final, losing only the badminton. O-45 men was won by American Andrew Stenson as well as the men’s B, 2nd is Moneet. On the Junior’s side, newcomer Loic Rahier from the local club made a statement with his strong table tennis and tennis to defeat #1 u-14 in Canada, Anthony Bédard. Picture below. The tournament concluded with a players’ dinner with live music and very good food.
