Last year’s champ Jeremy Easterbrook seemed to have healed is injuries well for this opening tourney of the new Quebec circuit. He defeated is arch rival Pat Laplante before playing tennis. His demolition work in squash and badminton did the trick for him. Newcomer Zach Rath scored an upset over Canada#7 Francis Soucy. Zach is a top level tennis player as well as a pretty strong squash player and decent in table tennis. He only lost to Easterbrook by 9 points. B division was won by Michel Aubé whose fitness made the difference. We were happy to see many new faces , among them Julien Savidge and Daniel McClay (aged 14) who will very soon be able to beat many adults. On the women’s side, Marie -Hélène keeps on rolling even if Line Bellerose gave her a chill by defeating her in table tennis.
