The Vancouver tournament was really successful in that a lot of new people were introduced to Racketlon, particularly players from the squash world. They are keen to come to Victoria to play in the Vancouver Island Open which is Nov 9-10. (By the way, the VI Open will be on the Remembrance Day long weekend – we plan to start Saturday morning to allow people time to travel to the Island on Friday). The venue for the tournament was at the very posh Vancouver Lawn Tennis Club (no lawn courts any more but the name has stayed). After play on Saturday it was great to soak up the sun around the pool with a pitcher of beer. Morgan Latremouille won the men singles over Peter Brix. In the mens doubles it was Peter and Billy Brix over two world ranked squash players Victor Berg and Jason Delvicario. By: Damaris Brix
