En finale, il a défait le champion de badminton Phil Gaumond, Horatio Pintea est 3e. Dans le B, Jean-Rémi Desjardins a démontré ses énormes progrès pour remporter la division. Line Bellerose s’est imposée encore une fois chez les femmes. 100$ furent distribué en prix.

Lapante will be confident at the World Championship, having won the past four tournaments he has entered. His goal of winning the U-21 world title should prove to be a tough one to achieve though with Joey Schubert from Austria, a top men player playing in his last u-21 event. Good luck Pat!
